My City My Six: Just Talk

"Just Talk” Workshop

For Adults with Melanie Fernandez Alvares
Saturdays April 1 & 8, 1:00 – 3:00pm

The “Just Talk” workshops are designed to celebrate spoken and written English with a small group of 10 to 12 adults who are looking for a platform to self-express in English. Participants will be encouraged in a safe and supportive environment, to take the necessary steps to overcome any hesitation to speak and write in English. In this series of workshops, participants will be introduced to memoir writing skills through creative play. Participants are welcome to write in a language other than English, but must be able to translate.

The final artwork will be ready for display as part of the My City My Six exhibition at the Arts Etobicoke Storefront Gallery and outdoor Art Alley for Fall 2017. If you would like to participate in this free, first-of-its-kind workshop, please contact Graham Curry at graham@artsetobicoke.com to register. Light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited and registration is required.
