African Drumming & Dance

Students are learning the basics of playing the Djembe and Dun Duns, traditional drums of West Africa. They are taught a simple rhythm and play and create music as an ensemble, while learning the history and significance of the drums.
Movement and African dance will also be explored in some classes.
At the end of the session, participants will be ready to present what they learned to an intimate audience.
