Artful Palate Features 'Beats + Intentions' Youth Artists
WED, JUN 11 AT CIRILLO’S CULINARY ACADEMY
Arts Etobicoke was thrilled to showcase two young musicians who participated in the new Beats + Intentions career development program (co-presented with Expect Theatre) at the Artful Palate Fundraiser, generously hosted by Cirillo’s Culinary Academy.
The event also featured cooking demonstrations, tasting stations and a silent auction.
We sincerely appreciate the long-standing generosity of John and Margit Cirillo of Cirillo's Culinary Academy for hosting and sponsoring this beautiful event for five years. Since 2010, over $25,000 has been raised through this annual event, helping us to provide high-quality arts education for local families, promote and nurture diverse artists and reach out to children and youth in underserved communities.
Special thanks to Arts Etobicoke’s Fundraising Committee: Ina Anthony, Lone Smith, Marjorie Devine, Suzan Hall and Gary Hepworth.
Thank you also to BMO, wine sponsor for the event, ARC Canada for donating printing services and Jeremy Sale for donating photography services.
A special thank you goes to musicians Amir Brandon and Vanessa Lu and their accompanists Kyle Shea and Chris Macfarlane. Amir and Vanessa participated in Year 1 of the new Beats + Intentions program, a paid arts training and career development program for emerging youth artists from across Toronto.
We would also like to acknowledge the Friends of the Arts and silent auction donors for their donations: Ina Anthony, Marilyn Cade, Marjorie Devine, Cinna Faveri, Peter Foley, Suzan Hall, Lucille Hillery, Ann Holmes, Jeffrey Milgram, Beverley Moir, Nancy Newton, Karl Sprogis, Cyndy Vrancart, OCAD University Continuing Studies, Dean Tudor, Frank Trotz, Art Gallery of Ontario, Luminato, Stratford Shakespeare Festival, Shaw Festival Theatre, Golden Horseshoe Aviation, University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Toronto International Film Festival Group, Canadian Opera Company, Opera Atelier, Soulpepper, Sean Boutilier Academy of Dance, Canadian Stage, The Royal Conservatory, The Motion Room, Reinhart McMillan Hair Inc., Acupuncture Physical Medicine, Terry Paine, Micheal Zarowsky, Massey Hall and Roy Thomson Hall.
