Memoir Writing

19 May 2017 - 19 May 2017

Learn the art of memoir writing with Toronto-based author and winner of Toronto’s 2012 book award, Andrew J. Borkowski. In this 1.5 hour workshop participants will learn how to brainstorm and write a memoir paragraph, and present it in a creative and visual manner. Participants will transform these memoirs into six-word stories, a type of flash narrative used in languages and cultures worldwide. These six-word stories will be submitted to the My City My Six participatory public art project, organized by the City of Toronto, which invites Torontonians to contribute six-words that best tells their story. My City My Six will culminate in a city-wide art exhibition in Fall 2017.
