The AMPLIFY! Model

Amplifying the voices of marginalized communities through the arts.

The AMPLIFY! Model

AMPLIFY! is an arts education model developed by Arts Etobicoke that sees trained artists paired with social service agencies to provide high quality, sustainable arts programming.

The model grew out of Arts Etobicoke’s belief that art has a unique ability to make a difference in the lives of marginalized individuals who face specific challenges: homelessness, language, poverty, health, isolation, discrimination, bullying. We have seen evidence of this through hundreds of at-risk youth who have benefited from our programming.

Arts Etobicoke currently delivers two programs based on this model – one for homeless youth (with Youth Without Shelter) and one for LGBTQ youth and their allies (with RexPride).

We want to share this model with the world! Below you will find the tools to run the AMPLIFY! model in your community.
