Once again, we collaborated with AHA and Lakeshore Arts to present the Wellness Workshop Series. Each workshop in this series provided participants with practical steps to managing stress and improving health.

Sleep Easy

This workshop explored Shiatsu, a Japanese therapy based on pressure points, as an effective solution for sleep disturbances. Sleep hygiene, evidence-based CAM research and other self-care techniques that can ease insomnia and other sleep disturbances were also discussed.

Taking Your Artistic Work to the Next Level

In this experiential and creative workshop, participants examined what inspires and moves them to take their art to the world. By the end of the workshop, they created a take-away that clearly outlined their project, their stake, an action plan and someone to support and hold them accountable to their action plan.

Your Health in Your Hands: Managing Stress with Self-Shiatsu

Participants played with lines, shapes, colours and symbols as they were guided through a process of mapping the present moment, slowing down, finding their internal compass, and seeing patterns and clues to where they might go next.
